Self Storage Unit FAQ | AAA Storage

Self Storage Frequently Asked Questions

How do I rent a storage unit?

You can rent a storage unit online by clicking the Rent Now button or hovering over the Find Storage tab. Look for the best location for you and go through the rental process. You can also call or stop by the facility of your choice to rent a space with a storage expert.

What kind of storage units do you offer?

We welcome both commercial and personal customers. We provide personal storage units for file cabinets, furniture, seasonal lawn or family keepsakes, and garden equipment. For professionals, we provide business self storage units where office furniture, file cabinets, and documents can be stored securely and efficiently accessed.

What type of security features do you offer?

We offer state-of-the-art technology to ensure that your valuables are safe, including an electronic gate access system that allows only people with authorized access to enter the site; high-security unit locks, sophisticated multi-camera video surveillance system (at selected locations); managers who live on-site and keep the entire property under surveillance 24 hours a day.

What is the difference between office hours and access hours?

Office hours are the hours during which the property is in operation. During these hours, the property management is on call in the facility's business office to deliver customer service, such as answering your questions, taking monthly payments, etc. During access hours, you can use your gate code to gain access to your storage unit, but the property manager may not be available to help you.

Do you offer carts and dollies to assist me in moving my things?

We provide a large selection of handcarts and dollies to help you easily transport your belongings during your move-in and move-out processes.

Do I have to sign a long-term rental agreement?

No. AAA Storage offers all our storage services month-to-month, with no long-term contracts or commitments. With AAA Storage, you only have to rent your storage unit space as long as required. We offer various convenient payment options, including automatic credit card billing.

Do I require storage insurance coverage?

While storing at an AAA Storage facility, the tenant must maintain insurance coverage on the storage unit’s contents. We provide affordable Tenant Protection that starts at $12 per month for $3000 in coverage. You can also save $12 per month by bringing a copy of your Homeowner's or Renter's insurance declaration page when moving your belongings to your storage unit.

What items am I not allowed to store?

Safety and security are our top priorities when it comes to storage. Please leave out any liquids, explosives, flammable liquids, toxic materials, illegal items, and perishables. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding a specific item.

What storage unit sizes do you offer?

We offer a wide range of unit sizes to accommodate all your storage needs. Unit sizes range from around 5'x5' (25 sq. ft.) to 15'x50' (750 sq. ft.) and have a height that ranges from 8 foot (2.4 m) to 12 foot (3.66 m).
